Lil' Bunny

This pattern has not been tested, so if you find any errors please let me know so I can correct it in the pattern....thanks!


Materials:

Small amount 4 ply crochet cotton
Size F Hook
Fiberfill
Pom-poms - 2 small white pom-poms for muzzle (about 1/2 inch in diameter)
1 medium white pom-pom for tail (about 1 inch in diameter)
2- 10 mm googly eyes (I used oval shaped)
Ribbon - about 10 - 12 inches in color of choice.
Small Flower
Glue or glue gun

Finished size: about 3 1/2 inches tall.

Rnd 1: Starting at bottom of body, ch 5, work 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 chs, 4 sc in last ch, working around onto opposite side of starting ch work sc in next 2 chs, 2 sc in last ch. join in first sc, ch 1, turn. (12 sc)

Rnd 2: Sc in first sc, (work 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 3 times, 2 sc in next sc, sc in last sc, join, ch 1, turn. (16 sc)

Rnd 3: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc) repeat around, join, ch 1, turn. (20 sc)

Rnds 4 - 8: Sc in each sc around, join, ch 1, turn.

Rnd 9: (Decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc, sc in next 3 sc) repeat around, join, ch 1, turn. (16 sc)

Rnd 10: (Decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc, sc in next 2 sc) repeat around, join, ch 1, turn. (12 sc)

***Stuff body firmly at this point***

Rnd 11: (Decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc) repeat around, join, ch 1, turn. (6 sc)

Rnd 12 (This rnd starts head): Work 2 sc in each sc around, join, ch 1, turn. (12 sc)

Rnd 13: Sc in each sc around, join, ch 1, turn.

Rnd 14: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc) repeat around, join, ch 1, turn. (18 sc)

Rnds 15 - 17: Sc in each sc around, join, ch 1, turn.

Rnd 18: Decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc, sc in next 5 sc, (decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc) twice, sc in next 5 sc, decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc, join, ch 1, turn. (14 sc)

***Stuff head firmly at this point, adding more stuffing to body if necessary as well.***

Rnd 19: Decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc, sc in next 3 sc, (decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc) twice, sc in next 3 sc, decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc, join, ch 1, turn. (10sc)

***Next rnd will close head, so add more stuffing if needed***

Row 20: Drop loop off of hook and flatten rnd 19, having the drop loop at the folded side. Pick up loop on hook and sc the front & back of head together, matching sc sts. You should have 5 sc at the end of row 20. Ch 1, turn.

First Ear

Row 1: Work 3 sc in first sc, and 3 sc in next sc, leave remaining 3 sc of row 20 unworked, ch 1, turn. (6 sc)

Rows 2 & 3: Sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn.

Row 4: Decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc, sc in next 2 sc, decrease 1 sc over last 2 sc, ch 1, turn. (4 sc)

Rows 5 & 6: Sc in each sc across, ch 1,turn.

Row 7: (Decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc) twice, ch 1, turn. (2 sc)

Row 8: Decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc. Fasten off. (1 sc)

Second Ear

Row 1: Skip first unworked sc of row 20 and rejoin yarn in next sc of row 20. Ch 1, work 3 sc in same sc as joining, 3 sc in last sc, ch 1, turn.

Rows 2 - 8: Repeat rows 2 - 8 of first ear.

Feet (Make 2)

Rnd 1: Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join, ch 1, turn. (6 sc)

Rnd 2: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc) twice, join, ch 1, turn. (8 sc)

Rnd 3: Sc in each sc around, join, ch 1, turn.

Rnd 4: Sc in each sc around, join, leaving a length of yarn for sewing, fasten off.

Stuff foot and sew opening of rnd 4 closed. Sew feet to bottom of body between rnds 2 -3.

Arms (Make 2)

Rnd 1: Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join, ch 1, turn. (6 sc)

Rnds 2 - 4: Sc in each sc around, join, ch 1, turn.

Rnd 5: Sc in each sc around, join, leaving a length of yarn for sewing, fasten off.

Stuff arm and sew opening at rnd 5 closed. Sew arms to sides of body over rnds 8 - 9.

Weave in all loose ends.

Glue the 2 small white pom-poms side by side in center of face to form muzzle.
Glue eyes over muzzle.
Glue medium pom-pom to lower back for tail.
Tie ribbon around neck and form a bow, glue flower to center of bow.
